Our need is to have access to specialist expertise, we are especially looking for the following but other experiences and skills would also be welcomed.
A Treasurer, so someone ideally an accountant or working towards, who understands numbers, budgets, plans, cash flow, asset planning etc
A Human Resources Director, skilled and up to date with employment law. This might also be suitable for a more recent graduate/CIPD member with current knowledge and personal skill sets for whom this might be a valuable ‘work experience’
Director for Business Development & Marketing, seen as a key role in growing the services and clients.
All Directors share in the overall governance of the organisation and any individuals who think they have other skill sets of value are also cordially invited to make contact. We are open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Time commitment would be around one meeting every 6 weeks for the formal Trustees meeting and additional ad hoc meetings with staff and specific Directors, plus thinking, planning and preparation time that can be done anywhere.
